Anyone use the Gene Berg Heater Box to Header Flange Kit?

I have warped flanges between my heater box and header on my 75 bus running a 76 engine and exhaust system. The header and heater box came from two different engines which is why they don't mesh well. I tried grinding and filing down the flanges to get them to mesh but I still have an exhaust leak.

I'm considering trying this Gene Berg kit and was wondering if anyone is using it. Any insight would be appreciated.

Well, I emailed my question to Gene Berg and they said that this flange kit would not work for my application. Bummer.
