I found a used engine and am wondering what people have found to be the cheapest way to ship one. I found that FedEx wants $500 but I thought that I saw $300 somewhere else.
It would be nice if there was someone planning a trip from Connecticut to Northern Michigan!! (in a pickup truck of course)

He's not kidding. I've never shipped anything that big, but I know they charge next to nothing to get stuff from point A to point B.Robert Berglund wrote:Have the sender put it on a nice pallett and ship it by Greyhound Bus.

See if the guy your going to buy it from can deliver it to Fedex's dock... if so, and you are willing to pickup at the closest Fedex dock near your home, ses how much fedex wants if it's just a terminal to terminal move. LTL shippers charge a premium for residential delivery, on top of that, this would also require lift gate service if delivered to your home, which they charge additionally.
