Head Studs

What is the useful service life of these suckers? Indefinate? They're torqued low but under a lot of heat stress.

Indefinite. But you do look for stress at the thread/shank interface, or stretched thread pitch. I like the necked 8mm studs instead of the 10mm straight studs, because tey are superior at stretching and contracting with the engine's thermal cycles.
