Itinerant Air-Cooled

Ya'll,
I'm doing a top end build on my old vanagon, and trying to keep my drifting ambitions alive. Here's the run down: Original and unmolested, 1983 vanagon, CV Code 2.0. During disassembly, I noticed the Heads were cast T.A.E? I've never heard of this brand before. I've been told they are possibly off a GEX engine, as well as, possibly an aviation concept build off the Type 4 platform. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I can't help you with the casting marks, but if you end up looking for a good pair of square port 2.0 heads let me know. Ive been sitting on a beautiful pair of barely used AMC heads I picked up from a local Mercedes/Porsche repair place for a little over a year now and it doesn't really make sense for me to just leave them in boxes forever. Ive only got maybe 20K miles on my current heads and putting a pitiful number of miles on the bus each year.
