Hiya All,

It's really not that I was chiming in with an opinion pro or con regarding either brand name although I have used Liestritz in the past. It's my understanding that both of these makes were, at various times, original equipment. Since his unit was labeled "German" but made in Denmark, I was just curious as to whether it might have been made by Liestritz or Ernst.

For what it's worth, the Liestritz exhausts that I have used (both Bus and Bug) have held up well with use. I cannot give them a gold star for fitting in well, but I understand that fitting any exhaust system is a bit of a challenge so keep those bolts loose until everything is in correct position.
I have cancer.

It does not have me.

Have a Dansk on my type IV bus 3 years now. I do drive it in snow and salt when I have to. Holding up well I should add.

Interesting. Did you leave the factory paint on it? Repainted mine with "hitemp" we'll see I'm not expecting much.

Tried a couple times with hi temp, no luck. Tried stove black as well, that would work, you'd have to polish the muffler often though! Stopped worrying about it.
