'69 Bus Shock Absorbers

Post by hambone » Thu Sep 29, 2011 10:12 am

HI,
I have come across (Hal, who else?) a very nice set of NOS Boge shocks for early bay.
I am running KYB Gas Adjust right now, and am very pleased with their durability, especially on horrible rough mountain roads.
Would there be a benefit to switch them for the Boges? Will they be as durable?
Thank you, the Squareback needs new front shocks and I have to decide what to do.

Durability issues aside, I do like the GasAdjusts for heavily laden buses. The Boges were for the suburban mommy set back in '69, useable, but not really backroad suitable.

Installed in the Squareback, to replace original type3 factory shocks. Only difference is the originals have a plastic-tube upper portion, and a different part #. Otherwise a perfect fit.
It is a thrill to be the first to remove a bolt in 40 years. And they came right off.
