I'm psyching myself up to replace the pads on my 75 bus and what has got me concerned are these pins. Do I simply take a punch and knock them out? If I PB Blast them, will they stay in place after I put them back in? They look like they pretty comfortable/content where they sit right now.

Yes, you have to take the pins out. Just use a punch and hammer to remove them.
