Can a brake light switch leak brake fluid?

Got under Gretchen Ghia today because the brake lights weren't working. Everything else seemed fine, just no electricity at the tail light assembly. Sure enough, the little harness had worked off the switch at the master cylinder. I also noticed brake fluid. I took off the little harness and there is brake fluid spurting out of the switch straight into the little electrical harness. It isn't seeping out at the master cylinder but appears to be spraying out the end of the brake light switch. Perhaps that is what worked the harness back enough to lose contact. Can those things leak? Really? I'd much rather just replace the switch than the master cylinder.

Aftermarket switches are notorious leakers. Bookwus went thru many until he found an OE supplier - out of England!

I have a couple used ones you are welcome to try. They are crusty but maybe OK.
