It might not seem like much of a difference (5/16" equals 7.9 mm), but the metric hose is definitely the preferred fit for these vehicles. Personally I have had problems getting 5/16" hose to seal leak-free, but have no such issues with the metric hose.

Good point! The shop only services Volkswagen and Audi, so I would assume so, but I sure will ask.

I did, and they do!

This place only services Volkswagen and Audi, so I would think so, but you never know till you ask. Thanks for prompting me to ask the question!
