=D> Static I strongly agree! Too funny on some things that are about.

Been meaning to ask you about the "Fillmore" you posted a pic of on some thread a while back, Is that the McDonalds one? I met a man in Richmond, thru my daughter, that workes for Pixar and asked about the bus they used as inspiration. As all things in that industry- it was -hush-hush. Want to start a collection of "Fillmore" for my grandsons now that I have the splittie to restore for them. I thank you in advance for any info.

ps Also took your advice about getting my own scanner to document my past pictures to share. It is a Cannon PIXMA 160 and a 7.0 mega pix w/3x optical zoom????? Learning how to use them. And injoying it. WOW the possibilities for artistc expression are limitless.

Funny how talk around a friendly camp fire can inspire the greater GOOD.

Thank You

Speaking of Fillmore (voiced by the immortal George Carlin, no less), I regularly pick up a magazine from th UK called Ultra VW. The current issue has a pic of a splitty kastenwagen (panel) painted just like Fillmore! Too cool.

I went home and looked again, I was wrong, it was a standard. Ultra VW I don't think has an online publication. I'll try to make a scan of the pic for ya.

OK, so it has a watercooled, new Beetle logo. Quit your sneering. I still want one.

I'll Tell Ya What!, December 20, 2006
By BoyIllTellYa from Augusta, GA

"I’ll tell ya what...that’s the best cottin pickin pelt I have ever worn on my head! Usually pelts cause my head a mean itch, but not with this one! In fact, my scalp never felt better or warmer. I even wore it inside the house on a cold day and found that I didn’t have to wear much else except my thermals to keep myself warm. Works great as a food warmer, too. My hush puppies never cooled down with El Coyote (my nick name for him) wrapped nice and tight around the plate. I did suffer through one of those darn bird attacks as well and my dog wasn’t none too friendly with El Coyote but hey, I don’t expect him to get along with everyone. All in all I think it’s one of the greatest pelts ever and everyone in my household will be getting one for X-Mas. Especially Darin, he’s gonna love it!"
