More hubcap art

Post by Sylvester » Sat Dec 29, 2007 9:29 am

I did this yesterday. Thanks to whip618 who sent me more hubcaps (I will get the fuel pump in the mail this week, promise). I really need to paint this stuff on other things. This hubcap will never go on the Bus, it wouldn't last a day in the ATL.

[albumimg]1559[/albumimg] I have to replace these, getting tired of them already. [albumimg]1054[/albumimg]
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Latest one, I am going to have to start painting the replacement hubcaps for the Bus now, since these will never go on it. Anyone got any ideas for what to paint next?

What about a swirly complex "fractal" thing, terminating in the center? That would keep you busy anyway.
What about mandalas?

I wouldn't know how to paint that thing for sure. It does look like a very complex kalidescope thought, perfect for a Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds theme. I think next I will make a Sylvester logo. Now that would be interesting to have four Sylvester the cats on the wheels.

Doesn't have to be that complicated, but symetrical. You can do it.

Does give me ideas, and what a perfect thing on a Bus, now that I know what a mandalas is now. This is a killer:

Put that on a hubcap. I have to branch out!

Yet another, was going crazy with homework and did this on the side:

One of these days I'll run out of hubcaps and paint something useful.

Very nice! Didn't it used to spin in and out between scenes on the old TV series? ... don't even get me started on that. Cat Woman? Meee-freakin'-eeeooow!

It did spin around during the TV series, it looked like this:

And John, I don't believe I can put a Catwoman on a hubcap.
