Some here might be interested in this story. I had been loosely following this story over the past few years as it seemed like there was progress in finding this man's identity. This week, the test results confirmed his identity. Rest in peace, Jason.

They were driving a Vanagon at the time of the accident. :pale:

Thank you for this story. I knew nothing about it before, but it's been resonating in my mind the past week since I read it. I'm sad it took so long to ID the young man, but at least they finally figured it out. I feel for his mother. He was on a fun adventure only to have it end so abruptly with few clues to his identity. ...and I think they misread the girl's names on the note, I read it differently.
