Lovely ...
... weather day.
A light snow on the ground in the morning followed by sorta trying to freeze rain all day only broken up by the occasional addition of hail.
sigh.

Re: Lovely ...
We had two inches of snow in Seattle this morning so I worked on the bus in the garage. Space heaters on full and it was still cold.

Morning could be glistening. Still raining though. Seattle got snow? I bet that's a mess. No plans to go anywhere until Monday. Happy Solstice. Over the dark of winter hump.

Re: Lovely ...
Have you been in Seattle when it snows? Seattle has 7 hills soo when it snows the city grinds to a halt as only the main FLAT roads are plowed. The city buses slide, crash and block all the main roads quickly with all the commuters quickly following suit. The Freeway becomes a parking lot with cars stuck, crashed or just left on the shoulders.
I stay home and putter around the garage or fix something on the HoneyDo list with a cup of hot coffee in my hand. Got lots done on my bus, changing out the oil cooler which had sprung a leak in it. Never seen one do that before, dumping oil all over the heat exchanger and exhaust.
My Ghia was pissed as it spend the night outside and was covered in snow in the morning. Considering it hasn't been outside at night for 10 years it started right up when I had to go to the store.

Pretty picture . . . don't worry, air-cooled Volkswagens love the snow. Re: Lovely ...
Back to blessed rain. Seattle is like Portland. It isn't the dusting of snow that's the problem, it's the inexperienced snow drivers that are scary. Especially those in their four wheel drives who seem to think they can drive in snow just like they do normally because they have four wheel drive.

Re: Lovely ...
Funny thing is, 4-wheel drive loses its advantage in braking . . . we all have 4 wheel braking, but the 4 wheel drive folks seem always to have to scrub off more speed . .ruckman101 wrote:Back to blessed rain.
