This little house used to be a chicken coop. I love that.

Can anybody name those writers? (Photos on the wall in reading room.)

Looks like a cozy little house. I like cozy little houses.

Even better when there is a "garagemahall" next door.

Randy, there are so many buildings around here. My house is on a farm (used to be housing for migrant workers) so there are 2 barns, 2 garages, a few sheds. Emmett (who's 10) runs wild through them all, when he's not in there learning about engines of every kind from my landlord.

After 2 years of living with my parents, anything would be. But this place is especially perfect. :flower:

One I know for sure is center top ~ head leaning over with cigarette. It's a well-known photo of J. D. Salinger

Directly below that might be Isaac Asimov, due to the hair, but it's a guess.

I can't really see the pic to the left of bottom center. Could be Hemingway, could be anybody. Far left... it's a couple, maybe. That'd be F. Scott and Zelda, but I can't say, and it's not a pose I recognize.

Bottom right is J. R. R. Tolkien. Don't know the 4 pictures above that. Can't see the one on the far right clearly... a guy in a chair. The young guy I don't know at all; the one with the Model T/A grill... looks familiar, but can't place it.

It's hard to make a list because the photos don't go straight across. But they are, from left to right: Walt Whitman, J.D. Salinger, W.S. Merwin, Augusten Burroughs. Then across the bottom: Rainier Maria Rilke, Hemmingway, Robert Bly, Barbara Kingsolver, Tolkien and Li-Young Lee.

That Lake Ontario shore area is really my favorite part of New York state (that has so many nice spots). All of the farms, orchards, and farmers markets. The "lake effect" snow is pretty impressive also.

It really is beautiful. But they call this end of the road The Arctic.
