We currently have a grey dark grey/blue .

What other color combo would work for you?

The current forum header illustration is in the earth tone side of the color palette, as seemed appropriate for the red/subsilver from whence we came. I was wondering if a burgundy/light leather tan combo would work?

That sounds really good actually, and the tan - IMO - would look great a background.
Yeah... Burgundy headers, white-ish post blocks, tan background to break it up and still have a light feel to the site. :)
I see some occurring on the index page . . :compress:

I would like not to be in this driving marathon to help zabo with buttons and folders. Spare time went to camber/toe-in adjustment on front end, a flood-out starter death in a rainstorm, and a mild disassembly of fan generator bits, a romp down the Ontario State Parkway in the poor neglected Squareback, oh yeah and visiting people I love in the cold all-too-brief sunshine . . .

Looking much better! One issue I'm seeing on my mobile device running Android Jellybean is that the the member names are overlapping the thread title.

The layout has been improving as Zabo works on it. I like the general look and feel.

It seems hard for me to find the Board Index button at times, and the Return to XXX forum only appears at the bottom for me. I find this a bit inconvenient.

But overall, it is an improvement from the other format, and I expect it to get even better as the tweaks continue. Thanks for your work on this!

Looking even better! To add more constructive feedback. I whined earlier that the signature lines were too large. They are now significantly smaller (good), but the font color is a very light blue that melts into the white background. If your sig line is a hyper-link, it's black, but if regular text, the light blue might want to be re-visited.
