the BusCo

Post by satchmo » Sun Mar 25, 2007 5:40 pm

I needed some camper furniture for my bus, and the weather was nasty this weekend, so I headed over to the Seattle area to visit Ken at theBusCo.

What a fun experience. Ken is a great guy and has a real love and knowledge of VWs. He had about a dozen or so buses around the property, in addition to the ones he uses personally. Each bus had a story that Ken was happy to relate to me. His shop was loaded with parts and everything was cataloged. He has a library with VW books and about all the past issues of Hot VWs and VW Trends. Lots of little collectibles too. I had a great time there, despite the rainy weather.

As time goes by, replacement parts for our old VWs will be harder and harder to come by. Ken is doing an outstanding job of keeping VWs alive and on the road. Call him the next time you need a part. Chances are, he has it. Don't go by what he has listed on the web site because it's hard for him to keep the inventory up to date.

I've ordered from him before - very nice and easy to work with, and the kids loved his business card......

Ken personally sent me an email explaining details about a Dormobile I had a few years back. Stats, links, parts etc. He struck me as one of the few "Above and beyond" Bus merchants. Hats off to Ken.

I needed the cabinet that covers the spare tire. He had one! Nothing but the highest praises for Ken.

Here it is:

He even sent me the top screw after the fact.

He's a good guy.
