Options/ideas for interior camper panels

Post by spiffy » Mon Sep 11, 2006 8:15 pm

On this last trip we were going out of Jackson Hole and had to stop quickly to avoid blowing through a red light. Well, the camp kitchen that was sitting on the rear bench by the slider fet the forward pull and came crashing down.....putting two nice cracks in my Rivi's pristine sliding door faux-wood panel. One other panel in the bus has a crack but besides that (well, and some small tears in the camper seat fabric) should I try to find a replacement or should I really take on a nice project and get all new stuff?

I'd say get a nice sheet of Baltic Birch and fab up a new panel.

Except the Rivi has the dark wood...I guess I could stain it to get close, EH?

If you want to keep it the same, just keep posting here and on the Samba wanted ads for a replacement. Also, PM Karl, call BustedBus and Bus-Boys and Interstate used parts.

Trying to stain wood to match a vinyl veneer is really tough.

Good tip, appreciate the help!

That is one harder part of owning a Riviera...especially when it comes to the interior fabric replacement....maybe it is time to hunt some down :pirate:
