Discovered my booster hose loped off in front of the tin, I hope this isn't a sign that the booster has gone south, but at any rate to determine that I've got to hook it up and test it.
What are people using to replace the brake booster hose. Locally, I've found 1/2" id heater hose and a 1/2" id flexible braided pvc. I seem to remember hearing about the heater hose collapsing. Have heard of someone replacing the hose with "PVC" don't know if they mean the flexible braided hose or solid tubing...

You need to use the correct reinforced hose. It has a metal spring inside the fabric that keeps it from collapsing. For a temporary fix, you can use super reinforced heater hose. 1/2 inch (as close to 12mm as you'll get). But it WILL collapse eventually so It's not a long term solution. You can get the correct hose from Bus Boys. I think they are the only suppliers.
The PVC thing you heard of was probably from me. I'll be making a page about the mods I made soon. I used solid 1/2" white PVC pipe and blue PVC cement with a couple of elbows and 1/2" thread to 1/2" barb adapters. You'll still need at least 3 feet of the correct hose. It just makes for less hose. And it only costs about $7 to make.
