Since installing a new clutch disk in my '78 Westy, it's got chatter when the RPM and clutch pedal position are just right. My suspicion is that I should have had my flywheel resurfaced and bought a new pressure plate, but the old clutch disk did not chatter so I thought I'd be OK with the original setup.
But, maybe it's something as simple as the Bowden tube. I had to install the shiny nut as a spacer after putting in the new clutch disk because the adjusting nut bottomed out with too much freeplay in the pedal.
Does the bend in this Bowden look right? Too much? Too little?

Yeah... I lost pretty much the whole summer waiting for that tranny to get rebuilt (that's how it got so clean) along with the engine that bolts to it, which is a continuing saga, unfortunately!Westy78 wrote:Oh, and that tranny is just to damn clean. You need to go camping!
