ROI: Oil Temp Gauge

Lately I've been seeing oil temperatures holding at the 260* while highway driving. I went to take a look at my oil cooler to see if a mouse had made a nest and found that the auxiliary heater blower ductwork had disconnected. Hot air from the gap was blowing up right at the oil cooler and making it very hot. Fixed the ductwork and the oil temp on the ride to work this morning was back to a reasonable 235F.

You've made a real good case for owning a gauge!

If not a good case for dusting and waxing the engine every couple of days to see what is or is not still assembled correctly . . .
Well, that is how I do it.
