Colin, you are still roughing it in a non delux westy. No stove, 12v refer to keep the Coke cold, BN6 gas heater, 70 amp alt etc.
Poor you at least you'll have a nice bed to sleep on.

How about naming it - Canna-bus?

What is that 120vt receptacle doing on the left side of the car?
BN6 came stock with the deluxe Westy?

BN6 gas heaters came stock on Canadian and ones with the cold weather package, along with the 70 amp alt, dual batteries.
Yours has the battery timer switch on the wall? Can't see it in the pictures very well but it's for controlling the battery charging and 12v refer if so equipped and with dual batteries.
The 120v outlet is to supply power to the bus when plugged in so the inverter under the storage seat provides 12v power so you don't run the main battery down and let's you charge the aux battery.

No, mine did not come with a BN6 as it was originally from N cali. but one is going in as the stock heat isn't enough in the winter for Seattle.
Where is the storage camper seat? Does it have the yellow bucket? What about the black extension cord? If not these are parts to find to complete the Westy.

I think my '77 is a stripper version of the Westfalia. I am in Daytona Beach right now, heading to Miami, so I can't look at what I am missing . . . the $280.00 NOS crossover pipe is on its way, the new plastic duct for the blower is on its way, and Chloe's new AS-41 case is on its way and I am so very way too more broke than I am supposed to be this early into my layover . . . . :pale:

A toast to idiocy! May we all live a little.

The are two versions in 77 of the Westy- Standard and Deluxe. Yours is a Standard hence the Yellow Chrome paint job. It came sans the stove, propane tank, 12v refer, dual batteries.
Post a pic of the Invoice.

Looks like the gas cap is painted but is it chrome under the paint??

Well, I am a standard kind of guy, I guess. Maybe I will upgrade that sucker. And yes, it has the silvery gas cap, painted over as pathetically as the license light . . . :geek:

Ahem. I beg to differ, assuming your Westy is the same ride height as my '76 it will fit into garages that have a roll up/sectional door vs. the flat/solid kind....if you don't believe me, look at some of the pic's from your visit to the Troll when I lived out further in the burbs. :blackeye:

I got mine to fit into my current garage with a solid door with some 'massaging' of the garage door lip. used to fit before when it had passenger tires on it, but after putting hankooks on, it raised the ride height by about an inch i'm guessing.
