At the VW museum in Wolfsburg last year, I don't know if I ever posted pics of this rig or not...

Re: 4X4 Bay Westy
I think it might be easier to replicate it .. there were a *lot* of vehicles between it and the nearest doors-to-the-outside I found. And I think they'd probably notice if it was gone...

Re: 4X4 Bay Westy
Eh, a conventional sway bar would interfere with wheel articulation. One with detachable end links, on the other hand..

No difference in "wheel articulation". Less than stock passive set-up.tristessa wrote:Eh, a conventional sway bar would interfere with wheel articulation. One with detachable end links, on the other hand..
I think it is that monstrous skidplate carbuncle blocking any placement option,
or maybe they actually want to dampen out any understeering tendency with those front wheels slipping under drive torque. ANyways, that is an authoritative bus.

Re: 4X4 Bay Westy
Skidplate isn't that much in the way, I think a more-or-less stock sway bar could be installed in more-or-less the stock location without much difficulty (compared to a 4x4 setup). They didn't put one one here because Reasons.Amskeptic wrote:I think it is that monstrous skidplate carbuncle blocking any placement option,
