Re: Hit and Run
Bastards.
I've got a straight-ish bumper here in the carport .. ends are good, middle sections have a couple of bends where idiots tried putting a tow hook over the edge to pull with. Yours if you want it/can use it.
Difficulty level: in Portland.
and I currently have no plans that would put me anywhere near Seattle until December.

Re: Hit and Run
Somebody clipped my Vanagon; as well in front of my house. Bastards. My new place has a very long drive way for 10 Vanagons. Hope you find them, and make them pay for it.

Re: Hit and Run
What a lousy thing to have happen.
I always think the bastards too, but on the other hand when my son had just gotten his license, one of the first times out alone he clipped a mirror, forgot all his lessons, panicked and drove off. There were witnesses and we got a call from the police reporting a hit and run with our car. I guess my "I'll ring his neck" response was convincing because the officer left matters in my hands. We contacted the owner who was apparently having a tryst that night and didn't want anyone to know where his car was parked. He wanted nothing to do with making a report.
I hope who did this comes back and makes amends. How the heck does someone not see a brightly colored Twinkie shaped car.

Re: Hit and Run
Easy to hit a bus when you swing in to park trying to make a drug deal in the house down the street! Yep, a never ending flow of cars it seems with a 5 minute visit to the house kinda across the street with a old lady (mother?) and two grown boys.RussellK wrote:What a lousy thing to have happen.

Got the estimate from a body shop for $1500 to fix it up and insurance will pay for it. Now to call Ken about a nice bumper to save a little money to not have to pay the deductible. No time to fix it myself really as I am super busy with other stuff.
