Great night. The movie wasn't half bad either. I rather enjoyed it.

I didn't expect it to sell out. Jason had an extra, but we needed two. Quite a crowd in front of the theater lingering without tickets but hopeful. Alas, MentalQtip was there. It didn't look good for a second ticket and wasn't. Cheryle is resourceful and did manage to see the movie, ending up sitting next to the director, she realized when he got up after the show and took the mic for a bit of Q and A.

The district was awash in busses. A show of hands proved the audience was awash with bus owner's busses driven rather than left at home.

And I had a fantastic newly found hat. It was a dandy. So dandy I knew my time with it would be short lived. Glad it made it back to it's rightful cranium. We had a good time though, sorry about the stain.

So, Neal "rather" enjoyed the movie...does that mean it was just OK?

It was well done. I wanted to hate it for personal selfish egotistical reasons, but had to admit the guy did a good job. Better than just OK. I can with integrity recommend it.

It was imperfect with a lot of style and a great sense of humor... so he pretty much nailed it. I think when the DVDs finally get released, it will be one of those things that a dedicated bus owner must have.

After watching it, I'm convinced that I need a Syncro and access to Baja California.

I think I was sitting by a bunch of IAC regulars.

What a wonderful night. It felt like a great tribal reunion, everyone in the theater sharing the same experiences through the film. And then to exit the theater and see buses driving all over the place in the wet evening city, just like 1974.
I really was surprised that Portland wasn't included in the film - we are Bus Capitol of the World after all.
John Muir was really given homage, it warmed my heart. He probably did more to change my life than any 1 man.

I have to agree with you there. I first read his book in 1978 and have pretty much been driving ACVW's as my only source of transport ever sence. Can't wait to see the movie too!!

Indeed, it was good to see the crew, and most surprising to see JG make it up from the far away lands!

The movie was solid, some of the cuts towards the end were a bit of a jumble, however generally it was well put together.
The audience was great too.

Well the busses were thick that night, surprised me. I figured a niche audience, it would never sell out. Boy was I wrong. I was lucky to get in, Cheryle ended up getting a ticket for a movie screening upstairs and sneaking in. Many many folks at the door looking for "miracle" tickets.
