Wow, this new exhaust is what my engine was missing! It was good before but now, now it is complete. There is a most definite increase in power and torque over the Thunderbird I was using. It sounds beefy too. Not to bad cruising on the highway but when you get into the throttle it roars.

I think the engine is finally starting to loosen up. Throttle response has gotten better with the new exhaust and it will easily cruise at 70mph under light throttle. I don't know if it was the cool dry air today making a few more ponies but it felt reeeaaally nice. Temps are also settling down a bit too. Although that could be the mid 30's air temp contributing. Cruising at 70 my head temps were barely pushing °355.

I'll get some new numbers on the way to Nehalem next weekend. The way it felt today I'm guessing I can improve on the other times by a second or so.

It's a bit noisy around town up through the gears but once at light throttle it mellows out some. If the tone was a little higher it would be more annoying like the fart cans on the tuner Hondas and such but this muffler has a throatier sound that isn't to bad.

I know Chris and Tangerine Racing do good work, but with as much as it cost (even before ceramic coating) .. that just ain't right, unless there's a *damn* good reason for it to hang down like that.

Yeah, you're right Hal. I was expecting it to be parallel to the bumper also but it is what it is. I'm not sure what went wrong with getting this one straight since the prototype bus that it was designed on is nice and straight.

Does anyone else have theirs installed yet? Wondering if they're all droopy like that, or if something's just wonky with yours...

just read this thread. Did the rich smelling lean idle go away. Maybe you could fool the tempsensor with the factory spacer for it. Makes the ecu think the engine is still cold for a while longer. it's just a threaded fitting that goes into the temp sensor hole and then the tempsensor screws into it.
