I wish that guy kicks a$%. Thanks for the compliment. :) I'm trying my best. This is my first big project like this ever.I did around the back window of my GTO but that is about the extent of my bodywork skill up to now. I hope this bus turns out nice.

You're taking the time to do it right, that's important. Also cool that yer documenting the whole thing.

Thanks Hambone. You don't see to many documented restos on here or on TS so I figured maybe it would help someone out if I did it. Also I enjoy sharing my progress with all of you bus lovers out there too. You can share it with people but if they are not into cars then you are wasting your breath. Plus all the positive comments keep me pushing ahead with it and keep me from giving up. Thanks all who have left comments. It has really had a positive impact on this project and keeps me motivated to keep going.

Fortunately I have had only one case of bloody knuckles so far(knocks on wood) I have been burnt while welding once and ground on my finger by a grinder once but nothing serious. Hope to keep that way too.

I hope to be done by then. It all depends on the weather though.

That is a little far for me. If I lived closer I'd be there.

Well here is my update for today. Thanks to my dad and my g/f's dad I got my windshield in. I pray to god I don't have to do that again. What a pita. I used Dawn dish soap and had enough left on my hands at the end to get them clean.
Here is a pic of it in.
Here's the window lip of the blue bus. It fared very well for a north eastern bus.
This is the worst spot.
Here's the Pass side:
Middle part Surface rust only:
another middle:
I'd probably be willing to sell it to someone that needed it. I'll have to figure out a price. The buyer would pay shipping also. Anyone interested let me know.
More to come

Are you talking about cutting out the window lip?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Yes, I'll cut the whole top off it to where the white stops if someone wants me to. I'd like to see it get used cause if not it'll go with the rest of the cut up bus to the scrap yard. I'll sell it for $35 + shipping. All proceeds from the sale will go to the save my Westy fund which is at $0 as of now. Ever little bit will help.

What do you have to offer so far? Or are you offering as you go?

What are you looking for? I have what's left of my '74 part bus also so I have some parts.
