Working motor. Taken out of 1981 VW Vanagon Westfalia. It's a 2.0L with solid mechanical pushrods (non hydraulic). Taken out because it was making a noise. The engine was removed at 101500 miles on the odometer.

We suspect its a rod knock, but someone on this site commented on youtube that it could be valve seat. It's up to you to decide.
The oil on the engine is from a broken oil pressure sensor.
Use it as a core, or rebuild for something else.
My original plan for this engine was to get it rebuilt by Adrian, with brand new re-worked AMC heads with 42x36 valves, and mild performance cam...
...but with logistics getting in the way, I decided to go ahead and order a complete engine from Adrian and just slap it in.
Price: $450 pickup in Little Rock. Use it as a core or rebuild it... or whatever.. Will also consider trades for "4 Headlight Euro Style Grill Kit" from Bus Depot for $399!
What westy wants, westy gets.. and westy wants the 4 headlight euro grill!!
