So in New York state, only churches can legally be intolerant of others?

Re: Intolerance
So church people can't believe what they believe in anymore?
Now that is intolerant of those who claim and demand tolerance and acceptance for themselves, but offer none back.

Re: Intolerance
Point taken pj, but it echoes of past rhetoric, and resonates of ideology from both sides that clings to the propping up of stereotypes, which, by definition, are based on nuggets of truth, unflattering nuggets generally, and a stereotype is a political/social tool of violence and oppression.
Uhm, if they really believed what they claim, why would a legal exemption be needed? Love is the answer.
Agreed, both positions are equally as guilty of painting broad swathes of the other unflatteringly. Both sides feel equally as under attack. Neither should have the ability to enact law to oppress the other. However, one side is truly a minority when compared to the other.
So now the majority has a legal oasis to continue the oppression of human rights in New York state, on moral grounds? Up until now, they didn't need that legal status, well, except for fleeing oppression in Europe for the new world and oh good grief, now we hit indigenous oppression and imperialism.
Cut themselves right out of that cash cow of a boom niche of the matrimonial support services industries it would appear.

Re: Intolerance
Due to a high predictability ratio, I'm not even going to search, just point out that NY state recently approved gay marriage. Based on that, we are talking about the church's probable refusal to take part/recognize such marriages or some such thing.Velokid1 wrote:What current event are you guys referring to?
The Church ~ violating the rights of men since 325 CE
