It's true. A cameo for sure, but my jaw dropped, "Hey! I know that guy!"
He was part of the tease at the top of the show about the second story past the headlines. First story past the headlines, also teased at the top, was the Supreme Court decision re: the class action discrimination suit against WalMart, second story was a recently released documentary about the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) which largely focused on the first arson action committed in ELF's name, and the perpetrators eventually apprehended and prosecuted.
The media's response framed the actions as the work of "eco-terrorists", and thus, just past the minute mark of Tuesday's show, a shot of IFBwax on the job reporting that initial act of "eco-terrorism". ELF was one of the earliest US "foes" to be framed as "terrorists".
