I really liked this guy. Some great moments on the House floor, a real passion to stand up for the little guy. Now he apparently has been more interested in his own "little guy". Damn you and Spitzer, throwing away great intelligence and conviction in the pursuit of your weeny little weenies.

not that Anthony would necessarily fall into this category, but it does seem that some of the best leaders in life have pretty strong addictions of one kind or another.

not that I believe this is anything new compared to 'days of old' - but in this technological age, you can't get away with it as easily.

Them's the rules. It may not be fair that politicians are held to a higher standard than the rest of us, but... them's the rules. You spend your life painting a pretty picture of how perfect you are, and when you're exposed for being a fake, you disappear to your summer home on the coast.

That's how it works.

Weiner never ran a sanctimonious "familiy values" platform that I've ever been aware of. I think the whole thing is just small...er...um,...potatoes. A little creepy maybe, but politicians haven't resigned over much much bigger lapses in judgement.

I wish everyone would stop comparing politicians to politicians. Can we raise the bar a LITTLE BIT, at least? I've had enough of the standard for politicians being "Better Than Marginally Douchebaggy." We should demand more.

Part of me even feels like I'd be cooler with the guy actually sleeping with some women instead of just being the creepy guy on his laptop in his hotel room positioning his pecker for the webcam. It's just super geeky.
