1. they're hackable
2. a reliable recount does not exist
3. they are often owned by people/companies with ties to candidates/incumbents
4. kiss your 'democracy' goodbye!

I agree. And they are still used. Provided by the same folks no doubt that crammed the shrub down our throats. And look what that got us. Still digging out from disaster narrowly averted, maybe.

Obama does not rule by executive fiat.

He sets an agenda and then has to convince Congress to enact it.

You will note that he has been stymied by an opposition party that made no secret of the fact that their goal was to thwart him at every turn.

Our "Blue Dog" democrats have been disgraceful in their disdain for the platform that gave them the majority. The cash-soaked "people's representatives" have been pickled in Diebold lobbying cash.

Most elections are executed by states and municipalities, they are not executed by the President.
