Sorry, chi. . . shows what I know. Just gauzy sentimental recollections from a bygone era. . .

The two forums I used to spend all kinds of time in, TS and Anandtech, no longer exist for me. ;)

Seriously, I just stopped going cold turkey. The feeling just ain't right anymore.

Ahh well. Such is life.

I still go to TS for the classifieds.

Hey moderators, is it possible to set up the classifieds here like over there?

It is a really good layout....

Now that you mention it. . . . we can look into it. But think out of the familiar for a minute. Could we do better than that?

It is a great layout but does this site have the bandwidth to handle it?

I don't know....it IS fairly easy to navigate and having the pics of whatever is for sale off to the side makes browsing quick and effiecient.

Oh yeah, can you add aspell check to the posting page? :?:

I've been looking for alternative but I can't find any. I can't even find the one Samba uses. I'm still not apt enough at PHP to write my own. Right now I can just alter existing code.

That's 90% of programming, maybe more.

It is when you know what you're editing. I understand about half of it. The rest of the time I'm just following instructions. But I'm learning.

It would be really great if classifieds went by geographical area. I really don’t care what is for sale on the west coast.

Honestly, I don't think we have enough classifieds yet to justify separate categories. We should just have a single forum for it, and expand into sections when it becomes unwieldy.

Especially if we can get a module to sort by area, vehicle, item type, etc.

I'm not concered by geographical items, unless they are too big or unwieldly to ship. Looks like some good ideas are bouncing around

We need more members/traffic for a classified section to be useful. In time....
