I would say to with hold judgement until more facts are known. Precious few thus far.

I have a sneaking suspicion we're going to find that it was a domestic attack. I'm trying to avoid the media circus on it.

Yes, the circus, the blame-game, the innuendo . . . I fear over-reaction once again. I hope we don't.

Yesterday, Diane Sawyer asked a spectator/doctor who was helping victims on the street: "Did you gather them in your arms?"

So melodramatic. And completely out of context for the conversation. Made me cringe.

Breathless bullshit like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings.

News reporter shoving a mike in a kid's face,
"How did you FEEL when you heard SHOTS fired?"
"Scared."
"Oh I bet you were, and tell me, tell me, was your teacher scared?"
"I dunno."
"I can IMAGINE, well, you are a very brave little girl."

I hate the imagery and avoid viewing vid and photos. I don't need it. I know already. Still so nothing known but assumptions flying with stereotypical predictability. Somehow I suspect the cancer is within, not without. Got our money's worth out of Homeland Security out of this one. That last sentence would be sardonic sarcasm.

Yikes for me, I am surrounded by them out here in Indian country. My niece goes to college in Boston, she walked right through all locations just that morning.

Which is what they said about the bombing of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City some years back. Some Moslem Tim McVeigh turned out to be.

Like most rational people, I'm waiting for the facts to come in. The cops and the FBI have a hella work to do, but the evidence is probably out there in the hundreds of photos and videos that are still to be examined.

New York Daily News made two kids lives hell by splatting their photographs with red circles on the front page, "we didn't call them suspects" sure but the headline, "Bag Men: Feds seek these two pictured at Boston Marathon." ??

Meanwhile, we have Lindsay Graham and John McCain now suggesting that we suspend the Miranda Rights of the remaining suspect under "enemy combatant" rules. Are they serious?
They voted against the gun control bill because of Second Amendment concerns, yet they are willing to suspend one of the bedrock priniciples upon which this Nation was founded. Are they serious?
Are we watching this country get subsumed by rationalizations this thin?

Where the 'two kids' in the NYT (edit-New York Daily News) article the same two that were apprehended? I avoided the news circus last week except to get some basic facts. One thing I do give the media some credit for, is the media did seem to make fewer errors/mis-steps in their reporting than they did with the grade school shooting back in Dec...but then again, could be wrong, as I made a point of avoiding.

Jon Stewart had a great piece last night on the constitution (and talking about Miranda rights being issued to one of the bombing suspects.)
