There is one upside: If the cost of transportation keeps rising, we may see an increase in manufacturing over here.
Joe Biden visited my campus to talk about manufacturing jobs today. I couldn't get tickets though.

Geoff, WTH are you doing in South America, getting in an extra summer?

The higher the gas prices, the more people on I see on public transportation.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Working running a small custom cabinet shop and remodeling a house. Its a great place to winter over as Seattle's winters are long and cold.

They should ban oil speculators from the futures market. If you dont really deal in oil you shouldn't be able to buy oil futures. This is much of the reason why oil prices are so out of control.

That's cool. I wish I could pick up and leave for the winter. This one here has been decent though. Plus, since I don't have to shovel out, drive to work early to shovel them out, and then work all day, I don't mind it so much as I used to.

I'm 48. The end of the world and the economic collapse had been imminent ever since I can remember. Do you knwo how many expired canned goods I'd have thrown away and replaced by now?
