Wheels were painted with Duplicolor Engine Enamel, two coats aluminum followed by two clearcoats.

Finally a decent shot of the tach whose face I had silk-screened to match the numbers in the speedo. This tach was custom made from an old Jaguar Lucas unit. It is 27 years old now and has performed flawlessly.

Paint is holding up well after 6 years.

Original is original is original. There are a lot of high-priced "original VWs out there sporting aftermarket exhausts and carburetors and distributors and coils. . . not this one.
